De Traverse Bench is ontworpen voor HAY door Erwan Bouroullec en maakt deel uit van een collectie tuinmeubelen die is ontworpen om op natuurlijke wijze te versmelten, waar deze ook wordt geplaatst. De bank bestaat uit een gegoten aluminium frame met een lattenzitting van hittebehandeld essenhout en combineert een robuuste constructie met een uitnodigende uitstraling die op natuurlijke wijze patineert om hem na verloop van tijd mooier te maken. Met zijn goed uitgebalanceerde esthetiek en ergonomische ontwerp kan de Traverse Bench worden gebruikt met andere Traverse-meubelen in eet- en sociale opstellingen in een breed scala aan privé- en openbare ruimtes.

Erwan Bouroullec is a French designer and artist based in Paris. He attended the École Nationale Supérieure des Arts in Cergy before starting Bouroullec Studio with his brother. Together the design duo has transformed the design industry, offering new perspectives of materiality and purpose with an international portfolio that includes furniture, architecture, and artworks. Erwan uses a technically minded approach to create flexible, functional designs in his collaborations with other artists and creatives on multifaceted projects. For HAY, he has designed the Traverse Collection.
